The Story Behind Ingrano

Because cross-referencing compatibility PDFs at midnight shouldn't be part of building your dream bike.

It started with a SRAM Force AXS groupset, a Cannondale Topstone frame, and three hours of my life I'll never get back.

I had the parts. I had the frame. What I didn't have was certainty. So I did what every cyclist does: I fell down a rabbit hole of forum threads, manufacturer PDFs, and Reddit posts from 2019 that may or may not still be accurate. I found conflicting answers. I found confident wrong answers. I found threads that ended with "works for me, YMMV."

I bought the parts. They worked. But the process was broken.

Component compatibility in cycling is genuinely complex — bottom bracket standards alone could fill a textbook. But the information exists. It's in manufacturer documentation, in standards databases, in the collective knowledge of thousands of riders who've built these bikes. It just needed to be organised, verified, and made accessible.

That's what Ingrano is.

"Build with precision.
Ride with confidence."

What We Believe

Precision is a form of respect.

Telling someone a component "should work" isn't good enough. We show confidence levels on every compatibility claim. Verified by official documentation. Confirmed by the community. Or theoretical — and we'll tell you which.

The best builds are informed builds.

No one should have to choose between their dream groupset and their dream frame because they couldn't find reliable compatibility information. We've removed that barrier.

Community knowledge deserves to be organised.

Thousands of riders have figured out what works. That knowledge exists in scattered forum posts and Discord threads. We're building the infrastructure to capture, verify, and surface it.

Building bikes should be joyful.

The late-night research spiral, the Reddit rabbit holes, the conflicting forum posts — that's not the fun part. The fun part is the build. We handle the research so you can get to the build.
